3D animation to show how the new Daptomycin drug working
at a molecular level.
|
| Description: |
|
Once again 3DB were commissioned by OX2P to provide
a medical animation showing how the drug Daptomycin attacks
and kills bacteria cells in the body.
Working with an
earlier video as a rough storyboard we modeled up each
of the molecules required to the sequence.
Once these
were signed off we began assembling the three separate
scenes through which our hero drug would travel. The
first was an establishing shot showing a number of large
bacterial cells, the Daptomycin then travels past the
camera on homes in on one of these cells.
The scene then
shifts to a cutaway of the cell wall, made up of thousands
of molecules, a number of Daptomycin molecules then force
there way into the cell wall, pushing the wall aside
to form a tunnel. This then releases the molecules inside
the cell and effectively kills it. The scene then cuts
to an over all shot of the cell as it shrivels.
This
animation was used for an exhibition display and in marketing
presentations.
